Dr. Nan Bates

It has been a busy 2016 for Clay and Associates DDS, PLC. Just a couple of months ago the dental clinic moved into their state of the art dental clinic and has been expanding services and staff ever since.

The newest addition is Dr. Nan Bates. Dr. Bates is a recent graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and has moved to the area. This is providing the opportunity to accept new patients, extended hours and the addition of the Dental Wellness Plan.

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Dr. Bates moved to the United States during her high school education. She met her best friend and husband while attending undergraduate school where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design. Her husband is currently attending medical school.

Dr. Bates enjoys providing volunteer services and has worked with the Iowa Mission of Mercy and West Liberty Dental Mobile Clinic offering community dental care. She has also volunteered for the mouth guards project for athletes with special needs along with other outreach programs for both children and adults.

“I am excited to serve in the Fort Dodge community. Everyone has been so helpful and welcoming,” says Dr. Bates. “Having the opportunity to not only be able to practice in a brand new clinic but also work beside Dr. Clay and Dr. Reynolds is a wonderful opportunity.”

Since moving into the new clinic additional staff including dental hygienist, dental assistant and front desk assistance have joined the practice.
